About

DSCN1563Just a young woman seeking to know God better, as she currently traverses a deep and dark “Valley of Trouble” (Hosea 2:14-16). Waiting and hoping for that day when she finally goes through the “Door of Hope” on the other side. When all her mourning will be turned into dancing, when all her ashes will be exchanged for beauty, when all the years that the locust has eaten will finally be restored……

    • I wish I was! No, but I’ve been to Brazil a few times, and as I tell Brazilians, “Sou brasileira em meu coracao,” because I feel so at home there. ๐Ÿ™‚

      • Brasileira de coraรงรฃo. Lindo. I’ve lived here in Brazil for 12 years now. I’m actually Canadian, but never seemed to fit into the mould of being ‘Canadian’. I’ve found my place here.

      • That’s awesome–I’m incredibly jealous. I’d definitely be in Brazil now if I could be! But God-willing, one day I’m hoping to serve there (or somewhere nearby in South America). Tenho muitos saudades do Brasil.

    • Hi Staci. Thanks so much for passing on that article. I agree with so much of what the author wrote. As a single woman in my thirties, I feel very unseen and out of place in most churches, and the “compartmentalization” of so many churches into programs, age divisions, etc., only heightens those feelings of alienation. There are other reasons too I’m disillusioned with most of institutional Christianity, some of which the author also touched upon. I’ve bookmarked his site for future reference, so thank you for sharing!

      Deus te abencoe. ๐Ÿ™‚
